And then the group headed to AVEGA’s facility to meet with Aurea Kayiganwa, Executive Secretary and Console. It was a reaffirming hour with both organizations stating their desire to move forward in joint work and new Rwandan team members making connection with the leadership of AVEGA. This important organization, committed to working with victims of the genocide, has been a center for the development of craft businesses which they now seek to significantly expand with the help of a UNIFEM investment. Much time was spent discussing their business strategy and Bpeace’s offer to assist was accepted.
