Kate was the lucky one of the group as she headed into the markets for power shopping with the goal of understanding local resources for materials for use as product is developed. She found a source for horn as well as wonderful embroidery, produced by a local cooperative named Afrehad. She bought so much that they returned to the hotel to unload and get more money! Kate heads back on Sunday to visit the general markets where local Rwandans shop and will steal time between meetings to visit local fabric and findings sources.

Kate continues to shop and the photo results to be posted when she has run out of money.

Comments:
Great strategy, Kate. This demonstrates that there is a real value to their labor. Keep up the good work. Golde.
